Garçonne & Chérubin launches "Heart Friday"
Following #GreenFriday and #BlockFriday , two anti-Black Friday movements launched by a collective of French fashion companies, it is the turn of the sneaker brand Garçonne & Chérubin to demonstrate its opposition to this consumerist custom by launching: Heart Friday .
"The idea here is to make consumers think differently, to get them to step back and consider that Black Friday - and the Christmas period in general - can be an opportunity to show solidarity for those who have less than them," says the founder.
It is with autremonde , an association of 7 employees and 350 volunteers who work every day against poverty and for the integration of people in precarious or isolated situations , that Garçonne & Chérubin has chosen to launch this initiative.
The principle that this young brand has implemented is simple and empowering:
